Day 1: Travelling to Taipei

It was a morning full of love as the parents sent us off at the Changi Airport for the Aesthetic-Cultural Immersion to Taipei. We took some time to mingle with the rest of the team during the allocated free time before boarding the plane with the teachers and our guide, Mr Song.

After the 4 hour flight, we landed safely at the Taoyuan Airport and met our local guide, Mr Tong. The luggages were collected and loaded onto our coach, and we headed for our buffet dinner at a nearby restaurant called City Inn.

We took an hour's ride to the Gallery Hotel and were given a tour by the security personnel around to familiarise ourselves with the safety exits. It is important to be mindful of our environment so as to be better prepared for possible dangers which may occur.

An hour was spent for our team-bonding activities while we played games and warmed up to the rest of the team across levels. It will be a relatively early night as we are going to have a long day of activities tomorrow at the exchange programme at Bei An High School.

Here are some of our reflections:

Recall one positive experience that happen today?

"We had team-building activities with our seniors. We had fun with the dancers. This activity taught me that if we work together as a team, we will be able to achieve success."
    ~ Ying Xuan, 1N2

"We had the team-building activities with the other dance members. I felt that I have really bonded with the juniors whom I do not usually interact with. While we were playing the games, we were able to apply integrity and we did not try to cheat to complete the games."
    ~ Jia Hui, 3C

"We had team-building activities today. The experience was very meaningful to me as I get to know more about our seniors. I had a lot of fun too."
